We’ve recently completed a installation in a Chevrolet dayvan for 4mm to demonstrate the new Defjam Rapstar game. This comprises of two 42inch LCD screens, X box, two system batteries, mains hook up and charging system and some high quality audio so the van could be ready to play in a couple of minutes at any location. This we project managed as well including sourcing, inspecting and acquiring the van, transportation, some maintenance work that was required, getting the vinyl wrap done and of course the installation of the electronics.
The runway maintenance vehicles took some thought as a 2000w inverter draws about 160+amps flat out, you can arc weld with less than 100! They ended up with upgraded alternators and cabeling to charge a bus battery which took two people to pick up (just). The inverter was kept as close to the battery as possible to minimise voltage drop and a rear mounted 110v socket was fitted. The inverter and battery were housed in a custom built enclosure and finished with heavy duty rubber matting. We tested it with 4x 500w flood lights.
Recent jobs include putting a remote control starter on a diesel generator for a local building company so they didn’t have to keep going across site or up and down ladders to turn it on and off and a split charging, battery installation for a window cleaning company to run the water heaters that are fed from a large on board tank.
Currently in build is a Toyota FJ410 promotion vehicle (Think Rav 4 but the size of a Hummer) for the Sheppard Neame brand Asahi Lager. Four screens for promotional DVDs, custom lighting, split charging, second battery, and a install to house a JL audio hifi, beer keg, cooler unit and beer pump the same as at your local to dispense beer samples on draught from the truck!
If you have any requirement for audio video installation, lighting, split charging and battery management, extra batteries, unusual installations for promotional vehicles etc or anything that could be described as out of the ordinary feel free to contact us with your requirements. |
